At over 6,000 square feet, MEGGS' largest solo mural to date towers over the eastern section of Detroit’s Russell Industrial district and serves as an iconic symbol of the city’s ups and downs. The Tiger has been an iconic symbol of Detroit and its past glory for over a century, this piece reflects this constant strength, resilience and hope as the city once again moves through a new era of change and regrowth.
*The graffiti pieces at the base of this mural were left intentionally as a sign of respect and now serve in memory of local artist Jordan ‘TEAD’ Vaughan who passed in 2018, may you rest in peace brother.
